Beckfield News – 8 October

Amy Hardaker, our year 2 teaching assistant, is leaving us today for an exciting new career opportunity. I am sure you will join us in wishing her all the very best for the future. We will miss her lots.

Italian school lunch

We enjoyed a wonderful Italian lunch yesterday! Thank you to all our families who attended and sampled our healthy and tasty menu. Pizza, pasta and paninis were enjoyed by many and the children loved our special decorations too.

#HelloYellow day

We look so bright and cheerful today wearing yellow for #HelloYellow day. A wonderful opportunity to brighten the day on World Mental Health day! Many thanks to all who have donated £1 towards supporting young children with their emotional well-being.

Nut Free School

A weekly reminder that we remain a nut free school.  Thank you for supporting this to keep all our children safe.

Data updates

Thanks to everyone who came along and checked important data forms in classes this week. If we have not checked this with you, our office will be in touch to chase this information very soon.

Water Bottles and Juice

Children must only bring water in the bottles for their class drink. Children can bring their own water bottle in so it can be taken home and cleaned ready for the next day. Juice can be brought in for lunch time. Milk and water are available for children having school lunches.  We encourage a healthy diet as children cannot clean their teeth during the day and limiting sugary foods and drinks will help look after their teeth.

Climbing Wall and Frame

We cannot let the children use the climbing wall at the moment as it is waiting to have its annual inspection.  Once this is done, the tape will be removed.  We are waiting to have the climbing frame removed as it is going to cost too much to repair.  This will be completed during the October half term.

Safety when dropping off

We’ve been trialling opening them at 8.35am and have a member of staff on duty at this time.  Please remember that all parents need to continue to supervise their children to ensure everyone remains safe and happy.

Class events

Keep an eye on our events calendar for upcoming class trips and more!

Jewellery and Uniform

Thank you for helping us get everyone into uniform – they look really smart!

To keep everyone safe, children cannot wear large earrings and other jewellery. Please ensure your child doesn’t wear these items.

Stud earrings are allowed, but other types of earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets cannot be worn.

We’re working hard to keep everyone safe. Mr Senior is manning the road and cones outside school in the morning and after school.

If you’re driving, please look after our neighbours and keep their drives clear. It’s really difficult for people in wheelchairs and prams to get by if you’re parked on the pavement so please keep those clear too.

Thank you

Thank you for your support and welcoming me, Miss Bullock.
