Beckfield Farmers!
This year, our Year 5 children have visited Jamie's Farm as part of our personal development programme.
Life on the farm includes: feeding and looking after the animals, building, cooking, cleaning, chopping wood, and of course lots of fun too.
These activities provide great opportunities for our children to develop their key skills and link to the Skills Builder framework.
Children are able to develop their teamwork skills through group projects and working together to problem solve. We see children acting as leaders and organising activities.
The staff at the farm work with children to get the best out of them and to build their self-esteem and resilience.
Children love being on the farm and it's really great to see their confidence grow so that when they are back in the classroom, they can thrive.
