Little Hands, Big Impact: children lead litter pick
Today we were really proud of our children for collecting an impressive 11 bags of rubbish during a litter pick in the area around the school.
Our pupils and staff are proud of the area and want to protect the environment.
According to the Eco School's website, "Litter harms wildlife, costs millions to clear, and, frankly, looks terrible! Worst of all, litter attracts litter. If an area is already littered, then people are more likely to drop more litter! Our Litter topic encourages young people to claim ownership over their local community and take immediate action to improve it through litter-picking, awareness campaigns, or rallying together for a community event like the Great Big School Clean."
