Children across the school were involved in careers workshops throughout the day. They got to meet people working in many different sectors, including civil engineer, recycling officer, police, careers working in the RSPCA and museums and galleries. 

They asked questions and heard all about the different skills and qualifications needed for each of the jobs. They got to learn about uniforms and working hours and what kind of things they might encounter day-to-day. It was very exciting and interesting!

Children always love thinking about what they could do when they are older and what their pathway looks like to achieve their goals. 

At Beckfield, we are really passionate about giving children chances to think about their futures and to give them chances to meet people they wouldn’t ordinarily come across, who can inspire and encourage them.
