Lunches

We know as parents you are keen for your children to be healthy and thriving, and we want the same thing.

Starting this year, we are making some changes in school as part of our campaign to teach the children about being healthy.

  • Every child will be given a school water bottle to drink from. They won’t need to bring one from home.
  • Any snacks brought into school for break time will need to be fruit.
  • We will give fruit to children who don’t have a snack or the right snack.
  • Packed lunches need to be healthy and balanced – turn over to see some examples.
  • We will have plenty of water, juice and milk for children to drink with their lunch.
  • Children can bring a small juice or smoothie carton in their packed lunch if they wish.

If your child has a free school lunch, you can be sure that the meals they are given are always healthy and balanced.

If you think you might be entitled to claim free school meals for your children, please speak with Miss Durn at Reception about how to apply.
